UAE long-term visa system has been introduced by the cabinet recently for investors, entrepreneurs, and specialists. These visa holders can live and work up to 10 years in UAE. However, the decision aims to maintain the position of the UAE as a country having an optimal business environment.

Entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurs will get a five-year visa with the possibility of upgrading to an investor’s visa if they meet the requirement of a minimum of Dhs500,000, for a previous project; or if they have the approval of an accredited business incubator in the country.
The entrepreneur will get permission to enter the country for 6 months, with multiple entries and with renewal for another six months. This visa can accommodate partners and up to three executive directors, as well as spouses and children.
Investors
There are two groups for investors; those purchasing property worth Dhs5 million or more will be given residency for five years. Those involved in public investments through a deposit, an established company, a business partner of Dhs10 million or more, or a total expenditure of at least Dhs10 million will be granted a renewable residence visa every 10 years.
Aforementioned allows the investors to enter the country for six months, with multiple entries when they are in the process of getting the long-term UAE visa. The visa can cover business partners (as long as each partner offers Dhs10 million), spouses and children; as well as one executive director and one advisor.
Well, there are some conditions; the amount invested should not be a loan and should be owned completely by the investor.
Specialists
Specialists from the field of science, medicine, culture, and art can apply for 10 years visas; provided the applicant should have a valid employment contract in a field of priority for the UAE.
There will be a number of additional conditions they have to meet, which includes holding a Ph.D. from one of the top 500 universities in the world or having published articles or scientific books in “distinguished publications” in their field.
The visa will include spouses and children.
Students
Students who secured a grade of 95 % in secondary school and a GPA of at least 3.75 from the university can apply for a five-year visa. They can accommodate their family in this visa.
